Well captured article on Age Gap Romance Tanu. Very crisp analysis and well written! and its good to read and go back to the old times:)
My all time favorite had been DK, Kasme Se and now KTLK..Mohnish and Kritika in KTLK are awesome and just wish that the writer shows some physicality in the show keep a logical storyline and the PH stop using BD and more of one screen shot for the the leads would definately make this show more successful!

KTLK is showing Age Gap Romance….’Realistic’ Approach to Age Gap is Appearing in the show..Hope It does well..and Make a mark in the list of Good Drama on Age Gap Romance on Telly world like Astitva,DK and Kasam se has made!!

It will be so little if i just say..’liked’ your Article….You have written on a subject close to my Heart…’Age Gap’ Romance….
I am a Die Hard Lamhe Fan…..DK is a cult classic..And Astitva was my Jaan serial when it was Aired….
Cheeni Kum was and is absolute pleasure to watch…..
Terrific article….Well Analysed….Aah I went down memory Lane…
KTLK yes despite its Many ‘Issues’ has managed to tickle some ‘niche’ audience…But Realistic and Logical Approach to ‘Age Gap’ Romance in the shows you Mention above is Surely Missing in KTLK….

Beautiful article Tanushree ……we don’t see such issues being tackled often ….the above movies and shows mentioned were path breakers. Changing the age old views of the society is never easy…more so in a country like India where we put so much emphasis what others will think.

I for one am from a generation that thinks change has to come and though rules and beliefs r fine for society as a whole …..changing with time and not being rigid is inevitable…..

I am watching Kuch Toh Log Kahenge from the first episode…..and it’s concept though borrowed from Dhoop Kinare is superb…..the makers have changed to suit our Indian audiences…despite its shortcomings which u have rightly pointed ….this show has made it’s impact and hope it continues to do so. I love this show for the excellent cast too….Mohnish Bahl and Kritika Kamra have done a superb job and their chemistry on the screen is sizzling and that only can make u glued to the TV.

Kudos to the makers of KTLK and it’s entire cast and crew and also to SONY for giving such shows a platform.

Wow a brilliant article on Age Gap Romance on small screen.
Kudos to Author Tanushree for summing it up very well.
My all time fav jodi has been Ashu & Nidhi from KTLK and Prerna & Bajaj from KZK.
These above mentioned shows have really been very successful in depicting how people with huge age gap can successfully fall in love overcoming the age gap.

Currently on TV its KTLK which is based on age gap romance and Mohnish & Kritika are doing a good job.
Would love to see the story moving in a more logical way,good understanding between them & respect for each other views & how these two i.e. Ashu & Nidhi will stand the test of time and come out successful.
